What makes eVent better?

The critical difference between eVent technology and traditional waterproof/breathable fabrics is the millions of microscopic pores built in to eVent's proprietary membrane that work instantly to vent water vapor (sweat) that builds up inside your apparel and footwear when you perform.

This is called Direct Venting™ technology, and unlike other technologies, it doesn't need to get wet to work. It’s a 'dry system' that allows eVent fabrics to be fully waterproof and fully breathable – keeping you dry and comfortable in the widest range of temperatures and conditions.

Direct Venting™ technology is engineered to keep you in the ‘dry zone’ – a steady state of temperature and humidity that reduces the wild swings our bodies go through to stay in balance during physical exertion.

The result is that you’ll spend more time performing at your best and less time fussing with your gear. And when conditions are bad, that can make all the difference.

    How to measure:

  • - Use a soft tape measure to take the measurements shown on the model.
  • - To measure your chest, run the measuring tape around your shoulder blades, underneath your armpits and across the fullest part of your chest.
  • - For sleeve length, with your arm slightly bent, measure from your shoulder to your wrist or where you would like the cuff to hit.

    Best Ever

Posted by Pigpen on Jan 24th 2022

With out a doubt, the best rain proof shooting jacket I have had in 30 years. Fits well, armpits are cut so there is no restriction, pockets will hold a box+ of 12 GA shells, overall length covers your butt. Very fast shipping. The first one I ordered had a minor issue that we (Wild Hare and I) decided to exchange. I had a return label e mailed to me and a new replacement before I had mailed the first one back. Wild Hare trusted me to mail the return, a quality almost forgotten in todays’ society. Buy it, you will not be disappointed……and O yes it has a lifetime guarantee

    Thoughtfully designed

Posted by KirbO on Dec 24th 2020

This jacket was well thought out when it was designed to keep out the 'wet'. The front zipper is covered by a rain flap, and the zipper itself is partially covered in a vinyl to keep water out of the meshing halves. The vents under the arms will help get some of the humidity out. One caution about the zipper! It's designed flatter and thinner than a typical zipper,(perhaps to help in adding the protective vinyl coating)

    HydroElite rain jacket

I have yet to use the jacket for what its designed for, but this is one of the nicest shooting jackets you could invest in. Everything on it looks very well made and functional. Very pleased with this jacket and can't wait to put it to use on those rainy cool days.

    John Francis Wing & Clays

Posted by John Francis on Oct 31st 2019

I’ve been looking for a jacket that I can teach wingshooting in during the fall weather here in Kansas. Our fall weather can also be cold and wet. Staying dry and warm all this week in rain, sleet and snow. Teaching the shooting sports all year makes me appreciate this product for keeping me in the field and on the range.

    My experience

Posted by Dewey m on Jul 1st 2019

I was sent the wrong product. However. Your customer support agent handled it perfectly. I sent the wrong jacket back and have the correct one. Love the coat. But am even more impressed with your handling of mistake. Will recommend to my shooting friends

    Great Jacket, sizing caution

Posted by ChrisO on Jun 12th 2019

This jacket fits snugly across the waist. I took a Large off the rack, perfect across the shoulders but too snug at the waist. An XL is too loose across the shoulders but OK at the waist. If you don't have an athletic build I would try before buying if possible. I'm wearing the XL because, despite the fit issue, it looks like the best wet weather shooting jacket on the market.''

This is the functionally best and most stylish waterproof shooting jacket I've ever owned. The fabrics are highest quality and the pocket and vent design is superb.

This is a great shooting jacket. Roomy pockets for lots of shells, good ventilation under arms using zippers, cuffs for wind AND for gloves!

    Waterproffered shooting jacket

Only reason not 5 stars is I have not used it in the rain yet. Great outer layer wind breaker in 30 degree F weather.
